Polish Pottery

Boleslaweic stoneware originated in the early 1800's in a province of Poland. It is famed throughout Europe for its beauty and functionality. Typical patterns are variations of the peacock's feather and eye markings!

Each piece is an individual creation. The more intricate designs are signed by the Artist.
All pieces are microwaveable, oven and dishwasher safe.





Featured Artists:

VICTOR VISOCKIS received his B.S.A. in Ceramics from the U. of Hartford
Art School and an MFA in Ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Amy, his partner in life and art, studied with him in Corona, Italy but
specialized in sculpture. Their studio is located in an old remodeled dairy
barn in CT.
The functional geometric designs of his work are heavily influenced
by cubist architecture, shibori and origami.

The rural setting of Vermont provides MARTY FIELDING with inspiration
for the new versions of form and decoration for his subdued pottery.
Hybrid handholding techniques are used for assembling the geometric
shapes from thrown slabs.
Marty's formal training began at UNC Greensboro and continued at the
prestigious Penland School of Crafts.
